yes I know, this is a little late.
The night before Thanksgiving I had my 3 nieces spend the night with us. The goal was to bake cookies! Well the cookies got baked but the nieces didn't help!
We woke up early on Thanksgiving and settled in to watch Macy's Parade, I mean seriously, who doesn't watch that? It's like an american tradition! :-)
Then we were off to my mom's house for our turkey day dinner.... oh how I love momma's cooking!
Traditionally we are all lazy so we would have just worn flannel pants & hoodies, but this year the parents had invited another couple so we broke tradition and actually dressed nice! What a change, I barely recognized everyone! ;-P
Here are a few pictures of the day:

everyone busy & rushing to get the final touches done! |

my sister Emily, she took on the task of curling the little girls' hair |

of course there always at least one man watching football! (brother Billy) |
|
my cool BIL Lonnie.... (and I'm not just saying cool cause he reads this! LOL) |
then the Friday after Thanksgiving, instead of joining the madness of Black Friday, we slept in, stayed warm, and put up Christmas in our house!

my little helpers... it's tradition to wear a fun hat! |

man I love having all the lights up! |

it looks like a lot of fun!
Shoot... I haven't posted Thanksgiving pics yet, either!
Love the tree!!
being lazy on thanksgivings sounds great. i always need a day off after the hustle and bustle of the holiday.
Pretty!
I have everything up but the tree. I have a beautiful fake tree, but it is back in SD. I don't really want to have to buy another one, but not sure I want a live tree. Guess I better make that decision quick when we get back from Vegas-LOL.
Psst-We are all about being comfy on T-day too. We always get invited to a lot of places but always stay home because we love to cook and then just spend the whole day eating.
