Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

sorry this is a few days late....
(Dr Seuss's birthday was March 2nd)

Check out what I made for my son's 1st grade class, I'm quite impressed with myself!!!! :)

first I mixed 2 boxes of cake mix, then separated them into 5 different bowls, and then used food coloring to spruce them up....

then I spooned each color in until I had enough in the cake pan...

these things look pretty awesome I think!

the baked version... once the cake was cut into you could see the colors bright just like before they were baked...

and the final product!!!! Fantastic right?!  Man I rock!!!!  :)  Logan was pretty proud to tell his friends that I made this cake all by myself!!!!  Love it when he shows his affection for me in public, wonder how much longer I'm gonna get to enjoy that? ;)

That is very impressive. Love the rainbow cakes...I've done a 6 layer one with the rainbow colors...but I bet the marbled effect was cool...as was the Cat in the Hat....will have to remember that one! Great job momma!

So cool! I'm impressed. Don't you love it when you know your kids are proud of you? We celebrated Dr. Suess week all week last week at school. Wacky Wednesday, silly socks day, funny hat day, etc. etc.
