my biggest challenge yet
I want to lose 40 lbs. Let me correct that, I NEED to lose 40 lbs. I have become very unhappy with my appearance almost to the point where I'm ashamed to have physical contact with my husband. Don't get me wrong, I know that I'm not obese, but I'm not what I was when my husband and I started dating. And I understand that most of us aren't, plus to "help" my case I've had 2 kids. No matter what life has brought me over these years I am still not happy with how I look. My sister is getting married next June and I'm the MOH. I will be down 40 lbs by the wedding. So I'm reaching out to you ladies. I read several blogs where you are avid runners and dieters. I need advice, recommendations, how do I start my journey?

Weight Watchers was great for me! It helped me lose a quick 10 before I stopped (i wasn't looking to lose much more then that) and My sister lost like 30! other then that i try to eat the right portions. not eat till im stuffed. and bring vegetables for lunch or fillers for when i "boredom eat". When i go to parties, i try and mingle away from the food table so I don't pick a ton.
Hope this helps!
Can we PLEASE do this together!!?? I'm wanted to lose around 30 or so and my motivation is LOW. We should be partners!
Last year I completely changed my lifestyle and lost weight. I cut out all soft drinks. Drank tons of water, ate slower and ate smaller portions. Also, no eating after 7:30. And, drinking a big glass of water before a meal helps trick your stomach into being full. I also watch what I eat, but don't deny myself sweets, just the portions. Eat smart snacks (smoked almonds are my favorite). I also started using weights at home and actually using the eliptical machine we have. My arms are now toned and I think I look better than I did pre-babies! Good luck. Try some of these things. I promise you'll see results! I did!
let me just tell you..... YOU.CAN.DO.IT!!!!!
I din't know if you followed my journey on my blog but to date I lost 30 LBS since january. It was tough but I did it. I kinda followed WW and made my own plan, whatched what I ate, couted cals and fat, I had been following another blog of someone who had lost 20 pounds so I asked to be my weight accounatability partner, since we didn't know each other in real life it made it less ebarrasing to share my actual weight with her, she had me write down everything I ate every day and i e-mailed her that list along with what kind of physical activity I had been doing, and should would give me healthy critisism. Unlike quiting smoking or something like that ou can't just give up food you have to slowly ease away from eating a large amount. You should also give yourself one night a week that is your cheat night you can have whatever you want. the thing you have been craving and not have to worry about the cals. let me know if there is anything I can do to help you out.
weigth watchers and exercise, maybe train for a race .
Good luck dear. You can do it.
Please don't go on a diet. Change your lifestyle. Eat better, correct portions and such (but you seem to eat pretty well from what you post on the blog . . .). I just get so frustrated when people go on a diet (like Adkins or whatever) and then lose the weight only to gain it back when then go off the diet. A change in lifestyle is a more sustainable way to lose the weight.
Good luck. Keep us posted!
(P.S. you looked pretty cute taking your watermelon rum and lemonade shot in my opinion . . . but maybe I was influenced by the yummyness of the shot.)
I would recommend The Game On! Diet. The diet is amazing and its how we should live everyday, anyway. You don't have to play the game part of it, just follow their guidelines. I have the book if you'd like to borrow!
hi! i just happened upon your blog through some browsing of cute girls' blogs...you know how that goes :) anyway, i saw that you are challenging yourself to lose some weight, and to that i say "kudos!" I just wanted to pass along the link to my blog, which is all (actually, mostly) healthy, delicious food. here is the link:

i eat healthy, but i don't deprive myself, and i also run. if you aren't much of a runner, believe me, you can do more than you think you can! one good step would be to sign up for a 5K, which will make you train, and it's only 3.1 miles. finishing a race is SUCH a feeling of accomplishment!
good luck!
